What fresh hell is this ... Every season this young woman
produces a collection of clothes… just clothes … clothes for the sake of
clothes.. sadly she is one of the few who has a sometimes signature which one
might equate to scrawling or scribble.

Heavy handed over worked over thought, purposeless and unattractive
clothes. Each season resembles a class’s design competition that may yield a
few pieces which potential for wearable and most that look like experimentation
in fabrication.

From Foxy Brown to a bad imitation of a Carolina Herrera
signature look, to an even worse memory
of a designer Ana Colon who worked exclusively with mushroom pleating in the
80s whio in comparison and retrospect might have been the next coming of Madame
Grès. I might add Ms. Assoulin does not quite understand the inherent
limitations of pleating. The collection covers everything from a sort of Norell-ish
take on feathered tunic paired with what i like to call the Chewbacca pant to
patchwork quilts to tin foil couture to pimp suits and my favorite… a one
shouldered upper body cast but what could be missing other than an all sequined
3 armed one shoulder waist tied shirt with a big pussycat bow paired with
elephant bell bottoms in the stiffest of cotton.

Whatever this is , this is not fashion …this is much more
like whatever sticks to the wall !... Got it?
