Okay... let me say this upfront...no I did not like this collection
at all … BUT I tip my hat to the brand and the Kaiser as he just gets it… they
get it!! This is his... I don’t give a
shit vision....this is pure Chanel, pure Karl, pure haute couture. It is fantasy;
it is a celebration of the petit mains and the ateliers that inhabit “le monde Chanel”
this is the elegance and polish that most forget when it comes to haute couture

Yes the collection is clumsy, thick, for the most part not
very flattering and yes they will flock like bees to honey to own it. Karl is
the pied piper of couture... well and ready to wear as well since he and pretty
much he alone can boast actual sales in all categories... yes he is the golden
goose… golden eggs and all.

It’s all tweed, all about rounded edges not angles … hobble
skirts super extended rounded shoulders but every now and then he slips in a
spectacular piece to justify the madness. The styling is just pitch perfect …
love the Coco/ Diane Keatonish boater on EVERY exit.

This is just proof that haute couture belongs in the hands
of those who understand what it is and how to use it and not in the hands of
the inept and those who think they can “talk away” the unfortunate collections
they produce and think they have mastered the art. Kudos to the brand Chanel....
Yes they indeed show you how it’s done on so many levels.
