Bravo monsieur!

This is quite a departure for the designer who usually only
caters to the rock n roll girls as well
as the model/celebrity set. This is the new and improved and considerably more refined
version of one of the few designers who exudes sizzling hot in all of his collections.

As I have stated before Vauthier is a master tailor at heart
but in this collection he definitely shows that he is a formidable and adept
dressmaker as well. One cannot mistake
the nods to YSL and to Givenchy and far more so than the eponymous brands of
those late designers. There is a new
chic, polish and sophistication present this season that brings the designer a
much broader audience and to a much higher level on the couture scale. Blessedly
he is not shy about color nor is he adverse to statement making or entrance
making.

I’m duly impressed here and even more so excited to see this
man grow in a way that is almost unexpected but most welcomed in a world of me too fashion. Loved the boaters, love
the ribbon bowties which were both ran contrary to so many styles and yet
looked so right. I must say I adored the buttoned up nunnish pieces as much as I loved those draped cowls and big bowed taffetas
and the entrance makers; this is a chest beating statement of a skill set ... a
variety of looks for a variety of clients

If I had to say one negative it would be that the boots,
while being a sort of signature for him, seemed a bit weighty with many of the
pieces and distracted from the beauty of the clothes.

How could I resist a beaded tiger striped onesie .. How Beyoncé
of him and how fabulous for anyone who has the balls to wear it!! ... And I’m
sure it will be worn!
