Balmain pre fall 2022
After just having looked at the slides for both Balmain and Balenciaga and having read both reviews, I realized, albeit maybe I wasn’t quick witted enough previously, to realize that these designers have nothing in common with the brands that they helm. It is strictly about them; they fool themselves and I’m sure many stupid followers who believe that they take into consideration the true DNA of the legendary brands they design under.
Then it occurred to me that if the 2 collections would just be under their names and not the heritage names but then no one would have paid attention at the start. They speak of their output as in I want, I see I I I .... no mention of actual heritage that made these names forces of fashion.
In other words, any pretense of the past is obliterated except for possibly a logo so if that what you really want then you got it. Rousteing is talented, there is no question about it but he now just designs clothes that suit his whim ...clothes for label whores and influencers and Kardashians... whoopee! Who dresses like this and where are they going in these clothes? My mind keeps going to that shoe with the heel that is pitched at the top of the arch which in my estimation will throw one’s body off balance and probably make you ache head to toe after wearing!
These looks, if picked apart, there are jackets and skirts and even some dresses but he never of speaks to PIERRE BALMAIN, the reason he has a job, in any way ... and maybe that’s the point. One more time I will say designers talk too much these days as who cares about your personal journeys... this is a business of selling clothes and if not clothes then it is a business of accessories, scent, cosmetics, shoes and anything they hang the label on. It’s a waste of talent and waste of brand.
As for Demna
he just so full of himself and of hubris that it’s appalling in every way ...
it is all about him and the almighty dollar... that’s it! It’s repellant and
repulsive! No photos needed as there is nothing to see.

Balenciaga spring 2022
Get moose! Get squirrel! Send Demna, aka the grim reaper of fashion, back to Siberia before this virus spreads!
He has completed the desecration of one of the most fabled names in the world of fashion. The fawner will drool, the trendoids will go broke trying to own it and damp Depends are the order of the day for the fashion media.
He has made a mockery of fashion; Rochester Big and Tall for Men and Women. looks like a death march to me so I think their next store opening should be in a dumpster or perhaps in a mausoleum with a red interior. Aside the from the fact that shock the value is over, he is a caricature of what he has already done and thinks he is a star which the vaunted media elite has made him.
I have chosen not to waste any more words as it all speaks for itself and those who find this worthy of any favorable words! Enjoy it!
PS... Morticia and Elvira are on their way for their fittings! and ixnay on the jiffy pop dress

Balmain spring 2022
Here’s my conundrum with Olivier Rousteing and that is from day one I could see that this young man had talent and a skillset that was hard to match. Did I think he was a match for the brand? .... well, no but in his ten-year stint he has certainly redefined the brand with his own kind sex appeal, embellishments, tailoring and audience.
While this collection was celebratory, I found that the last 15 pieces spoke more to the designer’s prowess than the previous 100 odd exits. Dust mop length pants and napkin length sleeves are a thing of the past and he is fooling himself to think that life will return to how it once was.
Ignoring the past 12-18 months is a huge error in judgement as it has taken its toll on every business and everyone who has lived through it. No, I am not saying the world has become one big pair of sweat pants but it surely isn’t about barely there clothes which scream overt sexiness or complicated design. Case in point is that an editor’s pencil was needed here and given that he showed both men’s and women’s together and that they overlapped a bit too much, the collection became oh okay that again even if it wasn’t exactly the same!
For some reason, I sense that there is something very childlike about him and that his thought process is very elemental in many ways, yet his skillset is far above many of his colleagues. Let’s just say it is a bit sad to live in a bubble when your talents can be steered to staggering heights. Not everyone wants to be mummified or nearly naked at staggering price points.

Balenciaga couture fall 2021
Oh, Demna what you don’t know or understand about true pure fashion could fill an encyclopedia and what you know inundates that ego you truly believe he can change fashion or actually knows what he is doing. with one of the richest archives in the world of any designer there are so many things you fail to see or understand especially about couture.
Do you honestly think you could improve upon Mona Bismark’s faille robe du soie or Jayne Wrightman’s feathered dress...if you even tried to duplicate them you might have noticed that they appear to be weightless. Adding a humpback or osteoporosis to the originals does not make you a designer but it makes you a destroyer. Your so-called homage pieces look like they are made of cardboard. You don’t grasp those designers like Balenciaga, Charles James and Christian Dior were also architects of fashion. Their clothes appeared formed to the body and almost weightless in most cases except in true winter wear.
A big hat and a number don’t make it couture nor does throwing a comforter over an arm in place of a stole. Those men designed for women and not to feed their ego. Your hubris and self-importance are almost laughable as the pieces come out looking like school projects with no idea of how those great men designed and why they designed...those elements are lost on you... and you forgot about the ateliers but that matters not to you!
Hide yourself
in Geneva, hide the stockpiles of money that Kering foolishly pays you to
disrespect and decimate of the greatest designers of the 20th century... if you
fell off the earth tomorrow, you wouldn’t be missed nor be remembered for anything
other than that Russian who did a hatchet job on fashion.

SPRING 2022....yes SPRING
It really doesn’t matter what season it is nor does it matter the heritage brand that is shit on and one lauded and applauded fraudulent designers who said they would change fashion but in 2 highly referenced, highly repetitive and totally ridiculous iterations this is what you get.... ONE BIG YAWN and the gnawing question of “is it Halloween already?”
There is nothing here that hasn’t been done before for the shock and awe of it and what complicates the issue is the geniuses from behind the once iron curtain think that 15 tired styles and be repeated ad nauseum and still not even elicit a tinge of excitement makes them great designers or excuse me one counts the money the other laughs. Talk about been there done that... Johnny one note is present and accounted for ...12 or 15 samples with a swatch card for each would have sufficed.
As for the other well he went from helming one of the grand old heritage brands to turning into a joke where a parade of “Lurches” took to the runway and by the way... a boy in Divine’s red Abbe Lane gown From Pink Flamingos is longer amusing or shocking. This kid needs to be told to get his head on straight.
And any of
the `so-called high fashion looks can turn a grey day into Fashion Masquerade
Day provided of course that you have the cash to throw away on any of it and a
shortage of grey cells.
