Akris fall 2020

Albert Kriemler has become a master of slick, precise, inventive, well designed clothes for women with the most erudite of taste. It takes a great deal of talent and expertise to do what he does and that is render clothes that are thoroughly modern, minimal in their own way but always in the most diverse and creative fabrications.

In a collection  such as this, the discerning eye will take note  that no these are not the clothes that set the world aflame but they are trendy in the most low key way and rendered with surgical precision, the styling is simple, the palette chic and sophisticated and when is  the last time you heard those words applied to a collection and lastly, they have great visual appeal.

There doesn’t need to be any discussion about inspiration and all that crap because the clothes are what they are … beautiful and in some cases exquisite and they speak for themselves. They don’t come cheap but then again, the worst crap we have seen is stratospherically expensive and not nearly as perfectly rendered or conceived.

I tip my hat to the designer who took the helm of a company that was one of the dowdiest collections in its time and transformed it into an urbane soigné grouping of apparel for those with a keen eye on style, proportion and color.
