Apparently there is an epidemic sweeping the globe which is a
widespread case of the blahs as in blah blah blah …. Est-ce que Paris baille?(Is Paris yawning) or starting off with a miaaaaw instead of a roar !

Hazmat suits... the shame of it all... Business attire, hahahahaha...
the perversity of fashion... words compounding and justifying mediocre design ….
Pants that don’t fit... coats that are 3 sizes too big and bare chested men with
blazers and lest us forget puffers with pajama pants and oh yeah more track
pants. more sweatshirts, more hoodies
and more tees with words and names... be still me heart.. The empty shopping bags carried as accessories
are more telling that you imagine; think the emperor’s new clothes AGAIN! Boring
is the new trendy... size does matter... oversized collars... so what’s new besides the designers actually
thinking they are doing something new and earth shattering

Pierpaolo Piccioli and Demna Gvasalia, of Vetements fame or infamy,
are designers who need to start designing and stop talking. Their words
compound the felony and assassination of fashion. Clothes hang on a rail there
is no piped in narration to explain them, there are no romance cards and there
is no guarantee that people will even notice you have spent 1000s of dollars to
either look like a fool or just plain boring. This is one instance where the quality
is a superfluous aspect unless you use it to justify stratospheric prices. The former,
Piccoli, has to get a grip and figure out
that 20 something’s are not breaking down the doors to Valentino boutiques
worldwide for boring and generic looking clothes and fashion victims will get their Balenciaga
fix by visiting a local second hand store which is sort of how Demna designs…
second hand!

At Valentino, aside from a jolt
of orchid, a fabulous oversized color blocked maxi coat, yes I wrote that as that is what it is , and a spectacular tiger striped coat there
aint much to see here from 2 of the most revered heritage brands that have morphed
into 2 of the most boring and over hyped sources of yawn inducing clothes.

PS... Wouldn’t it be great if there were actual fashion
critics who spoke the truth and had an opinion rather than creative secretaries
who just regurgitate press releases to insure advertising budgets?
