I am a constant observer of this young man. I was taken in
early on by the fact that he is above all a fabulously deft tailor. I am not
sure if that the desired “hashtag” he would want attached to him but it is a
start. This collection, to me, is a great rarity amongst the flock due to the
face that it is aimed at actually a woman who can wear them without having to
figure out what they are or how to wear.

To me the suits and coats are the stars … even some of the dresses well as a … oh boy…
“Consumer Friendly” collection. What most appealed to me here is that it is
not a stretch to say that the collection was actually designed with thought and
skill to yield beautiful clothes. Don’t get me wrong, is not a a collection
that sets the world aflame but it is a collection where designs and the tried
and true have been massaged and tweaked with a deft hand. This entire scenario
translates to that there are no tricks not gimmicks here like oversized shoulders, puddling pants
or sleeves down to ones knees or clothes that require an instruction pamphlet
to wear.it's a collection that makes sense ... he gets it!

When the entire business seems to be searching for the
latest and the greatest or just plain grasping at straws in order to garner
some hype, the one thing that seems to evade most is the clothes have to sell
and women have to want to buy them and Mr. Altuzarra has grabbed onto to that
concept and is running with it full steam ahead.
