LET THE FAWNING BEGIN.... in earnest
Color me flummoxed! Was it impressive … jeez yes! The scale
of it was monumental which no doubt matches the ego of the designer. The set,
the staging, the sheer quantity of models and pieces which it took to create
these outrageously over the top statements or are they monstrosities? Apparently
this genius never found a floral he didn’t like, a shiny fabric he didn’t like,
an affectation he didn’t want to overuse
and for sure he never found a designer he didn’t opt to copy ... whether it was
Mikli sunglasses or the original Kenzo Jungle Jap or maybe Chanel or McQueen or
maybe even Westwood but hell who’s keeping track? I want to know how you spend
millions on a show and turn out the cheapest looking crap imaginable?

This is without a doubt a fashion victim’s multiple orgasm event
which will outdo every brand on every possible level including the degree of
heinously ugly shit that’s been dredged up from the 60s, 70s, 80s and god knows
when else and where else and honestly I don’t care to know. Everything about
this show was let’s throw it up against the wall and see what sticks but what
you want is what fell to the floor then just pile it on until there’s nothing left.

It is a cacophony of color, a sound barrier breaking racket
of patterns and just so utterly tasteless to be considered anything but pathetic. The
designer has now proven he knows only thing and that is to visually shock and
overload the viewer as to almost Trumpian proportion in the distraction from
what it is intended to be and that is FASHION ... not a drag show... I say drag
in every possible definition and manifestation ... and surely not a costume party.

BTW... there were about a dozen pieces that must have
slipped in by accident as they actually looked wearable ! Also did you notice he has the most
unique ability to make clothes that look 2 dimensional.. Almost like cardboard
cutouts but the again maybe that’s because of their cartoon like character!
