I guess we are seeing the softer side of Armani. Yes there
is structure but nothing rigid or uptight ... it all seems sort of relaxed and
at times slouchy. There are a few structured jackets but most have this aura of
a relaxed fit and easy to feel comfortable in.

Of course we know that Armani has a penchant for harem
hemmed skirts ,skirts with odd draping and even some with strange construction
but none of those trespasses seem to matter since the focus is up and not down.
What’s also interesting here is that this is a much more colorful Armani and somewhat
playful and vibrant with the extreme pops of color. What does however seem to
be missing here is any big statement evening pieces except of course for the bugle
beaded pinstripe gangster suit which never gets tired.

In the end there are plenty of amazing pieces… mostly
jackets of course … that will tantalize the Armani audience and of course
plenty that will allow the pundits to say oh it’s boring, same old same old and
yet his business doesn’t seem to be suffering in the least … he is the boss and
he does things his way regardless of what so called unqualified critics may
write.
