SPRING 2020 CHAPTER 2

Apparently,  the envelope has been pushed as far as it can be  as so called fashion now embraces every  size and shape of  body and every  ethnic origin  let  alone little  people, transgender, genderf fluid and out and out drag queens. I suppose the industry  wants a medal  for doing this so called display of diversity  but what  they wind up with is egg on their face showing farcical  clothes on people who  have no  relation to who their prospective  clientele might be!

What’s worse is that the so called models look like unhappy accomplices to a sort of circus in motion. There is no joy on the runway ... just a robotic parade of young women/girls who seemingly haven’t a clue about the purpose of their presence. Once upon a time the runway was a place of aspiration and inspiration for both the clothes and ideals of women who wore them or in other words women wanted not only to wear or own the clothes they were envious or marveling at the beauty of the models who wore them for that short period of time and then on the magazine page. Those days are long long  gone…. N’est ce pas?

Again as for the clothes, they speak for themselves. yes I have heard there is a sucker born every  minute  except  we are  talking about women parting with  their money to look anything that might resemble fashionable  and heaven  forbid.. Chic and tasteful… who would want to look that way anyway?
