Blah, blah,
blah, di blah ... loosely translated … women can look like wooly mammoths, quarterbacks,
wearing clothes of the wrong size, clumsy, oafish and most of all NEVER
beautiful as per her edict of that her job is not make women look beautiful!

Well one
more season to live up to those words as I am still waiting to see the uber
fashion that she thinks she supposedly produces season after season. Let me
count the ways: belted blazers, carwash skirts, shimmy fringe, YSL squared off
shoulders as in chubbies of various lengths, cinched puffers, LL Bean
waterproof boots with lug sole in pastels (very feminine I might add), lampshade
beaded fringe and best is some absurd layer of sheer or mesh that sadly doesn’t
hide what’s under it. Lest I forget those patent faux shearlings that look like
they fell off the clearance racks at UPIM. Where is the incomparable Prada innovation except
in her own mind!

So, I ask
myself one more time, what exactly is so great here except all the babbling
that she does to explain what she does and the end result is always the same. Here
at least I’m sure there will be pieces that the label whores will flock to but
on the whole, it’s so nothing, so over talked about and explained that it’s actually mind-numbing.

However, I do like salt and pepper tweed, grey flannel and camel
just as long as it’s not Prada!
