Wes Gordon has been working at Carolina Herrera for only a
short time but this season he seems to have delivered another rarity within the
world of fashion. The collection is almost as if it is a Henry Clarke
photograph come to life.

The clothes have a slightly retro vibe yet there is
nothing old fashioned about them unless you consider that real people can wear
them.

Despite my personal dislike for orange, this collection uses
the color to great advantage for maximum eye appeal. Rarely if ever have I said
that this shade of orange is a fabulous replacement for red that takes the
collection away from looking more to holiday to an absolutely resort spring
like mood. The clothes are actually pretty and once again can be visualized on
people rather just on an editorial page in a magazine.

Sometimes the less said, the better so suffice to say the
collection is quite beautiful while not setting the world on fire and YES there
is something to be said for that!!
