At first glance I thought
… well this is not gonna work out well
but upon further examination this is a relaxed more youthful less up tight
Armani than we are used to and yes it is
all Armani.

Unquestionably it is not as precise as is expected, it is more
fluid... okay I’ll say it its baggier/looser but hell it looks comfy and not as
rigid as the usual seasonal offerings.

The signatures remain including the subdued palette but what
has changed here is the model and the addition of trainers and flat shoes as the
preferred footwear. Perhaps this collection is more about pieces/separates than
usual.

While appearing to appeal only to a younger customer via the
visuals …. It is so deceiving in that there is so much here that is any of his clients...
the universal language and vocabulary of Giorgio Armani. This is a lesson to
all designers what can be done when you add a dash of trend and not let trend
take over your collection.

As ever, Armani is for a particular lady of means except
this season she could conceivably be of a different generation albeit one with
money to spend.
