I just
referred to an ocean of unwearable clothes and lo and behold here we have the Indian
Ocean of unwearable stuff. Wtf is this?

Rarely if
ever have I seen fabric literally tortured into the making of a garment but
holy shit does anyone stop to think what this stuff will look like on a hanger hanging
in a store? Yes let the media fawn and laud, the backers take care of them, but
let’s call it what it is … it’s like getting lost in the rag bin of a sample
room and the kids making clothes for a school project

Satin which may
be expensive but looks like a nickel a mile and dresses that could double as full
slips and then all this twisting and turning and knotting and to what end….
Certainly not a couture garment. Lak
manages to cover 2 different collections in the first 2 exits a little Vetements,
The Row and god only knows the words to describe what is shown here and
intended for sale. Then out of the nowhere comes these rigid cowhide leather
suits that look like they are made of glazed cardboard.

The palette
is jolting at best to the point of glaring and all these tricky wrappings and
drapings and effects that mean nothing because every season this designer is
shopping for a new client. It’s inconceivable to me that anyone with any
experience in this business can call this pile runway worthy!
