Well this season Alessandro has invited Hannibal Lechter to join his circus! The most important thing to take note of here is that the Gucci bubble has burst or is on the brink and what you’re left with is what can be equated to a deflated bubble from a wad of bubble gum?!

Furthermore take away the absurd and absolutely ridiculous styling and what you’re left with is a whole lot of unattractive unappealing, ill proportioned clothes! So the only conclusion that can be drawn is that he has no clue how to design a collection with any coherence and just sends out outfit after outfit, no matter how unattractive or unwearable they may be … that much hasn’t changed.

We have Bozo meets Hannibal, corset waisted pants, simple argyles and then pieces that defy the imagination of even a design school student and a guest appearance by Annie Hall who must have gotten lost. Stripped down to just the clothes minus the distractions and they are basically pedestrian in the extreme and but styled to shock ... and that includes the jolting color combinations as well as the infantile prints and oh yes the spikes and masks.

So my friends here it is… Without all the bells and whistles and hoopla, what have you got? I see the emperor’s new clothes and possibly the first nail into the end of the boy wonder’s tenure since moving into new territory is way beyond his grasp; he is a ringleader in a circus who has suddenly been reduced to sweeping up after the elephants!
