Well this will be short and not so sweet! Rodarte or road
kill... which is it? These frocks look like
some Victorian nightmare meets vampira. It is all too odd and so Addams family.
It is rather confusing when you can’t decide if it is confection or concoction.

With that being said, why does one get the impression that
the sisters are making clothes for Barbie from cutting room scraps and exploding
them to human size? The few wearable pieces like the super glitzy pant suits
were 70s inspired at best and might be attributed to Halston and certainly been
done time after ever since. There was one all black lace dress which stood out
amongst the fray with point d’esprit sleeves but so much was peculiar and maybe
even weirdly and seemingly haphazardly combined. Then there were the panda furs for Spring!

Every season they seem to be searching for their customer
with some new take on how they see fashion. After all these years they have no definitive
signature meaning none that makes them recognizable other than wildly high
price tags and less than attractive clothes. My memory has prevented me from
recalling if the clothes are meticulously constructed.

In my mind they should have stayed knitters and really
pursued what shined a spotlight on them. Not everyone is a designer just
because someone told you are.
