Well there isn’t much to say here except that anything you
might recall about any of the past collections from maison Christian Dior is
barely recognizable when in fact you might have to dig deep to find it or
extrapolate from what was on the runway. Save a few tailored pieces this is
just a pile of clothes with barely a glimmer of glamour, gloss or chic which were once integral parts of every Dior collection... That is, all except during
the reign of Raf.

So, from what I could see, you might have noticed a bit of
Kamali, Ungaro, Holly Harp (thank you RR), Jil Sander, Gucci, Gil Aimbez, Carol Horn, Saint Laurent of
the Hedi variety and a dash of Isaac Mizrahi from the 80s. In essence this is a
just a hodgepodge of heavy handed stuff with the CD label slapped onto it all
worn with very bad shoes.

Not even the presence of the original owner of Blenheim, the
first Duke of Marlborough, could have helped this collection to be on a par
with its surroundings. At least this time LVMH saved itself the expense of a
weekend in Rio and instead settled for a day trip to the English countryside
... venue must be the trend! A+ for
venue!
