CLASSIFIED AD: in need of fashion interpreter for collection
review! Candidate must be fluent in hype and bullshit and MUST know how to
explain away the emperor’s new clothes. Best said… in need of qualified fawning person who knows nothing of fashion
and yet oohs and aahs at any collection
that supposedly has a “hip/hot” quotient.

Someone needs to tell me what this was about... yes glam
rock, yes 70’s, yes 80’s punk even a tad of 50s nerd. Yes platforms. Yes piercings.
Yes pedal pushers and high water pants. Yes kinky boots, maybe androgyny, maybe
drag or was it just an excuse for the vertically challenged twins to wear thigh
high patent leather platform boots and parade down a runway showing their audience that they are
indeed capable of walking in them. Yes, I get it that they must have cast
a show based on whether these clones could clop down a runway wearing these absurd
glitter boots and booties.

So after the supposed shock of the footwear, I saw torn
second skin jeans... AGAIN... some glitter tops, a pile of jackets and not much else except maybe
the sequin overlay camo pieces which yes were pretty great but where is one
wearing a sequined camo anorak? Someone needs to explain this to me …. Any
volunteers??
