Ferragamo Fetes Fashion Night Out

Сегодня ночью мы пьем и праздновать …. Loosely translated, tonight we drink and celebrate and so it was at Salvatore Ferragamo on Fifth Avenue as well as around the world last night. Ferragamo was part of the once a year event that have become a worldwide affair … Fashion Night Out. So, besides participating in this international event, Ferragamo was calling attention to its current fall collection which was heavily influenced by Russia as seem through the eyes of designer Massimiliano Giornetti. It might be noted that this collection also heavily influenced by YSL. Nevertheless, Thursday evening’s fete was as tasteful as it can get considering the circus that was going on in the streets. The invitation only event was crammed full of bars and wait staff offering up everything from caviar to champagne and of course what I refer to as “Russian Water” or Beluga Vodka in this case. It should not go unnoticed that the well turned out cast of attendees were not the usual rash of fashion victim oddities which overpopulate of so many fashion events worldwide. It must be noted that this well “curated” crowd actually seemed to be present as well as future Ferragamo clients. What needs to be pointed out here is that this is not the Ferragamo that was once known for its low heeled grosgrain bow signature lady shoe (Vara); but this is the 21st century fashion powerhouse that attracts fashion conscious customers from all over the world. Menswear and women’s wear alike are for those who desire the very best in chic apparel from head to toe. My slideshow will tell this story and attest to the Salvatore Ferragamo style of the future.
