 Dear Phil,

I know we have not met before and for that I must say it is my fault as I seem to have not been paying attention.  So, please forgive me and let’s move on and in the end, I hope that you will be happy that we have met.  I was not aware that your brand has been around for some time now and for those of us who are uninitiated, it should be stated that you do men’s and women’s and even a home collection and just for the record you are German and very handsome , if I do say so myself!  One last thing that should be noted is that the “skull” is a logo and not a just a decoration!

So mein leiber, here’s how I see Spring 2014 from you: we need to get rid of some of your competition and then you can certainly adequately fill their shoes. The collection is sexy, hot, and flashy in a more discreet way than the aforementioned and could stand a scalpel when it comes to finding the treasures that lie within. Dissection is a must!

Who knew that you actually make everything from shoes to bags to outerwear to jeans to athletic wear …? You name it.  The thing to keep in mind here is that the clothes skew to the ageless hip guy, he has to love studs and spikes and jeans, yes lots of jeans of the expensive lived in looking variety and yet he has to understand the juxtaposition of wearing sweats with a blazer or tuxedo like jacket and wearing a slim silhouette suit.  I thought the camo cire was of particular interest as there was also one sleeveless giant camo patterned , I think knit top, that I loved as well as some of the, I believe,  rubber spiked pieces which were plentiful. 

Spring is such an iffy season as it has become one of the shortest selling seasons of the year and so many shows have their requisite elements which include leather, beef cake, jeans, shorts, tank tops and swimwear… all of which we can check off here.   Anyway, I digress, I am anxiously awaiting next season to see what you have cooked up and I am smart enough to know that no designer should be judged on a single outing.

I understand that you are coming to America this year and that should prove to be very exciting for you and your brand. So maybe, Phil, we catch a coffee and “hallo, wie geht es dir? “when you are here and proceed from there .... in the meantime ciao ciao , kiss kiss  and lovely to meet you ... Auf Wiedersehen
